The new Spider-Man: No Way Home confirms the presence of five returning villains including Dr Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman
Sony Pictures have revealed the new trailer of Marvel Studios’ upcoming movie Spider-Man No Way Home which gives detailed look at returning villains from previous Spider-Man films, including Dr Octopus, Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman and The Lizard.
As revealed in the first trailer, No Way Home picks up right where Far From Home left off: with Peter Parker’s secret identity as Spider-Man is revealed to the world. Peter (Tom Holland) tries to enlist Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) assistance to rectify it. Magical multiverse hijinks ensue. Strange then reveals that the spell to protect Parker’s identity went wrong, and that “visitors” from every universe are coming through.

The latest instalment of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) will see Alfred Molina reprise his role as Doctor Octopus from the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. Furthermore, Jaime Foxx will also play the role of Electro again after his role in the Andrew Garfield-starrer The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Rumours have long been circulating that Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire, who had previously portrayed the role of the friendly neighbourhood superhero, will also make an appearance in the film. However, the new trailer does not give any hint of their presence in the movie.
Meanwhile, JK Simmons will reprise his character of J Jonah Jameson, The Daily Bugle’s editor-in-chief, who hates the masked vigilante.
Spider-Man: No Way Home also stars Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau in pivotal roles.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is out on December 17 in cinemas worldwide. In India, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be available in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
